The Leaderboard is an annual contest.
An embroidered shirt will be awarded in February for the largest fish caught of each species during the previous year.

The Club selects a "Species of the Month" for this contest, using the best information we have for what's running that month.  A $25 check is awarded to the angler who catches the largest Fish Of the Month

    June Kayak Fishing Event

Halfway Creek (Sea Grape Drive launch)

MSC Kayak fishing events are held monthly at a number of different locations throughout Southwest Florida. Typically, MSC kayak trips will last approximately five to six hours and will cover 5 to 7 miles. We vary the venues monthly to give our kayak anglers exposure to different environments, fishing techniques, and species of fish that can be caught.

MSC members who participate in the kayak fishing events own their own kayaks and transport them to and from each venue. Members who do not have experience in kayak fishing but are interested in trying out the sport can sometimes borrow a kayak from a MSC member who has an extra one. Kayaks can also be rented at many different locations in the Marco Island area.

If you are a new member or a current member who is interested in participating in our kayak fishing activities signup to be added to the "Kayak fishing list".  The Event Coordinator, Howard Laskau, will keep you informed about upcoming trips.
