    July Kayak Fishing Event

Lover’s Key (New Pass Bridge launch)

MSC Kayak fishing events are held monthly at a number of different locations throughout Southwest Florida. Typically, MSC kayak trips will last approximately five to six hours and will cover 5 to 7 miles. We vary the venues monthly to give our kayak anglers exposure to different environments, fishing techniques, and species of fish that can be caught.

MSC members who participate in the kayak fishing events own their own kayaks and transport them to and from each venue. Members who do not have experience in kayak fishing but are interested in trying out the sport can sometimes borrow a kayak from a MSC member who has an extra one. Kayaks can also be rented at many different locations in the Marco Island area.

If you are a new member or a current member who is interested in participating in our kayak fishing activities signup to be added to the "Kayak fishing list".  The Event Coordinator, Howard Laskau, will keep you informed about upcoming trips.

Fishing out of a kayak is a great way to be outdoors, enjoy nature and experience the beauty of the mangroves and backwaters. It’s a great way to catch fish and you get the benefit of exercising at the same time with no need to go to the gas pumps!

Club Fish Tales Meeting August 7th

    No General Meeting in August!

Instead - Join Us for a FISHTAILS Get-Together!

Informal gathering at a local restaurant/bar

Get ready to talk fishing, make new friends, and connect with fellow anglers! Instead of a traditional meeting the FISHTAILS Get-Together is happening on Thursday, August 7th, starting at 6:30 PM at Cavs (in the old Porkies back room). This is a fantastic opportunity for all members, especially newer ones, to mix and mingle. It's your chance to chat about:

    • Finding crew for your next trip
    • Connecting with boat owners
    • Sharing or discovering hot spots
    • Tell/makeup your best fishing story

We'll provide some snacks, and you can grab your favorite drinks from the bar. Come on down and get more involved with the club!
