

Pompano Double Down
Fishing Date:Tuesday, January 20th through Sunday, January 25th, 2026. You pick the Day
Capt.’s Meeting: Monday, January 19th, 4:00pm at the Sandbar
- Fishing Hours: 6 Hours – “Flex Time” – You pick the 6 hours you prefer to fish!
- Event Target Fish: Primary-Pompano Secondary-Spotted Sea Trout
- Fishing Hours: 6 Hours – “Flex Time” – You pick the 6 hours you prefer to fish!
- Event Target Fish: Primary-Pompano Secondary-Spotted Sea Trout
Prizes: Team prize – 1st thru 5th – Total inches of your four longest Pompano and/or Sea Trout
You do not need to catch a Pompano to win. However, a Pompano will count as double its actual length. For example, a 15” Pompano will count as 30”
Individual Prize – individual prizes awarded for each of the longest Pompano and Trout caught during the event
Entry Fee: $10.00 per MSC angler, $15.00 per non-member
This event is open to powerboat and kayak anglers
Prize amounts determined by number of anglers participating PLUS up to $300 in club funds

EVENT RULES
- Captains of all boats must be a MSC Member. - “No Guide” Rule & “2-Line” Rule Apply
- MSC backwater boundaries apply. South-no fishing in Everglades National Park.
- Photos required for all fish entered for team & individual prizes - Measure fish to nearest ¼”
- Turn in Tally Sheet and photos, to Charlie Schwalje, no later than 5:00 PM, the day after you fish.

- Fill out the online registration form. If paying by check, after completing the online form, make your check out to MSC and mail it to: MSC, P.O. Box 2104, Marco Island, FL 34146. If you are paying with cash, please fill out your online registration form prior to coming to the captain's meeting.
